The classes are FREE! It does NOT matter what county you live in, the curriculum is the same!!!, it is put out by the dept of Homeland Security!
You do NOT have to become a member of the CERT team, the idea is to get EVERY BODY trained in disaster preparedness!!!
I joined three years ago, for that very purpose. To learn how to care for my family during disasters. I learned SO MUCH MORE! Its been a great resource to learn about the resources available in my area, and how to access them. The life saving skills were important too, but I have gained a better understanding of living through the disaster!
For you and your family, take disaster preparedness, time and knowledge well spent, it just takes two days of your time. two days...............
