Papers, papers, papers! What a nuisance, and so heavy when you have many papers together; they get ripped smudged, wet etc. not altogether practical.
I decided to download all my personal documents onto thumb drives. No, not a novel idea. But what is, is that I downloaded them is several formats and the best part......I bought waterproof capsules to store them in for each 72 hour kit. Waterproof capsules, ya know, like the ones you get for boating or swimming that come on a string?!?!?! Now I have many many documents in one little capsule. I love them! Each person has their own color coded capsule. And because it's still hard to let go........ I shrunk copies of the basic identifying papers, like drivers license, birth certificates, passports and social security numbers, and rolled them up in the capsules too. Each capsule cost me around $10.00 to make, thumb drive included.
Little, lovely, lifesaving, logical.
